Electron pair dot structure in the case of ammonia is a representation of the outer electrons surrounding the N atom. The dot dot structure in the case of NH3 displays that the N atom unites a solitary pair of e- with each of the three H atoms, resulting in a complete of three united pairs of electrons. The NH3 molecule adopts a trigonal pyramidal form because of the placement of the outer electrons according to its Lewis Beverage cup structure. In the Lewis dotpoint representation of NH3, the nitrogen atom is enclosed by three dots, each representing a pair of connected electrons with a hydrogen atom.
